Super Bowl LII

This past Sunday will go down in history as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots for the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Headlining the Super Bowl was Tom Brady trying to become the Michael Jordan of the National Football League by attempting to gain his sixth ring. The match up ended up being a high scoring affair with the Eagles beating the Patriots 41-33. The Eagles led the way the whole game without letting the Patriots get no more closer than three points.
Philadelphia thought their season was over when the rookie Carson Wentz went down with a season ending injury by tearing his ACL in Week 14. The back up Nick Foles had his trials and tribulations through out his National Football League Career and even thought about quitting one point in time due to those matters. Philadelphia fans still had faith because they knew the type of player Nick Foles could be and was during his time playing for Chip Kelly.
Doing a lot of play action and two running backs obtained through the middle of the season with LaGarratte Blount from the New England Patriots and Jay Ajayi from the Miami Dolphins. The Philadelphia Eagles gained first down after first down moving the chains through New England’s secondary with Nick Foles having three hundred and seventy three passing yards and three passing touchdowns, but threw one interception. The New England Patriots did the same thing as Tom Brady carved the Eagles secondary for five hundred and five Passing yards with three passing touchdowns and six rushing yards. Through the hard fought passing league Tom Brady came up short by a Hail Mary and a two-point conversion. There was controversy about one of the touchdowns Philadelphia Eagle’s Corey Clement had made from a pass made by Nick Foles.
The ruling on the field was a touchdown because he had two feet inbounds and had possession, but Cris Collinsworth, NBC analyst, said that he was unsure if he had control of the ball after the catch. All in all National Football League Commissioner, Roger Goodell, stated last week that he asks of the league’s rule makers to begin from scratch this offseason on rewriting the now mostly talked about and confrontational, catch rule. Through the madness the Eagles over came the Patriots and cheers of  “E-A-G-L-E-S” as well as “Fly Eagles Fly “ rang through out the game until the clock struck zero seconds.
